Matthew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.
To make peace, one must first know what peace is. True peace is the inner security that you are right with God. When a person is truly and fully confident of their relationship with God then nothing can cause them anxiety, worry, or stress.
There is nothing that can shake a person who has true peace because God is everything to them and they understand that nothing can take them out of His hand. Neither, illness, not poverty, nor hardship, nor even death can disturb them. Such a person can know pain, sadness, and deprivation but their heart remains quiet inside them knowing that God is sovereign and as long as they remain in his will then they are in the best place.
A peacemaker is one who helps others find the same peace that he or she has. A peacemaker lives a life that makes God’s love and power known. A peacemaker is an ambassador for Christ in all they do offering a rebellious world God’s terms for an end to their spiritual war.
Their reward is to be a child of God and an heir to His Kingdom.
Father God, draw me ever closer to You so that I may both have peace that transcends understanding and be Your instrument to draw others to You.
